What We OfferWe offer a wide variety of services for people who are hiv-positive and/or hepatitis C positive, or directly personally affected by either. How do I access Body Positive's services? We recognise that it can be difficult to visit a new place or meet someone new for the first time. For these reasons we have put together a variety of flexible arrangements which should help to make people feel more comfortable and less anxious when accessing our services. If you are visiting drop-in for the first time during drop-in hours, there will always be a trained volunteer there to welcome you. Drop-in is currently open on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12noon to 3.30pm. If you prefer, you can come in outwith drop-in times. This can be arranged by phoning the office. You will then be able to meet a trained volunteer or member of staff when no-one else is around. We can also arrange to meet people outside the project, in a location that will be convenient and comfortable for them such as a cafe or sometimes in people's own home. Meetings can be arranged on a one-to-one basis or if people prefer, they can be accompanied by a friend or worker. People do not need to be referred by another agency to use any of our services, you can just come in yourself. We have a video available which provides an overview of project services. I'd like a service you don't offerIf you think there is a gap in services which Body Positive might be able to fill come and chat to us about it and we might be able to address it. |
